Yoga Instructors

24 yr old world traveling yogi, Adrienne Jane Magill from U.S.A, discovered her love for yoga while serving in Japan with the United States Navy. Using it as way to relax, she started spreading the love to others, by volunteering her time to teach yoga classes for other sailors deployed throughout the seven seas. The beauty and transformations she discovered while teaching, made her realize that this was something she wanted to do for the rest of life. Adrienne received her 200 E-RYT at Himalayan Yoga Bliss, located in the mountains of India. During her free time, you will find Adrienne at the gym, playing the guitar, watching Harry Potter, and working on her goal on becoming the next Hollywood stuntwoman. Though still currently working for the military, she consistently finds ways to improve her skills as a student and instructor.

She lives to follow her life motto, “Live the moment of pure appreciation. Live the life of your dreams. Live like it’s you’re last day.” Quote by Adrienne:

“I remember one morning when our ship was sailing through the Indian ocean, about to end our 6 month deployment, I decided that I wanted to teach one last yoga class for the crew. It was one of the most magical classes I’ve ever had the honor to teach ,and I will never forget it. The sun rays were gleaming on our skin, the water was calm, a pod of dolphins were jumping close by, and all you could hear was the voice of the ocean. I want to create more moments like that. Whenever and wherever I teach. That is my goal.”

Lucille

Lucille left Canada at the age of 20 and has been traveling the world for the last 5 years. Sunshine Coast, Australia being her main base. She started practicing yoga since she was 15, being a very active adolescent, yoga was her way of calming the mind and dealing with her parents split up. Lucille maintained her yoga practice through out her young life, exploring all styles of yoga.

In 2016 she was mentally ready for her next yogic journey and traveled to India the home of yoga. There she completed her 200 hour yoga alliance teachers training in the Himalayas. “I love vinyasa flow & yin/restorative yoga as it allows me to be imaginative and create my own classes. Being a surfer, she loves the ocean and the mountains she’s planning on incorporating surf, yoga, travel and trekking together.

“Yoga to me is not just physical asanas but a way of life through meditation, pranayama, diet & lifestyle and most importantly practicing balance. Yoga has taught me to slow down and to be the in present moment. Finding the inner peace, the bliss! I’m hoping to share that energy with my students.”

Singing Instructors

Liz Terry is a singer, Natural Voice Practitioner, trainer and group leader. She has 20 years’ experience of working in this field and is passionate about creating and facilitating environments where groups of people, whether they are adults, young people or children can sing together. Liz trained as a Community Music Tutor, specialising in vocals and was fortunate to have apprenticeships with Frankie Armstrong and Vivien Ellis. Frankie, who helped to form NVPN believes that “singing connects the body to the voice, the voice to the individual and the individual to the community.”

Liz says that this is very much at the heart of why she does this work. Singing connects us (and that has now been proven as we release oxytocin when we sing!) Over the last 20 years Liz has led and directed a huge variety of vocal based projects and cross arts projects in a range of community, education and health settings. Liz is well known for her warm, dynamic, inclusive and encouraging teaching style with groups whatever their age, background and ability.

‘I love the variety of songs that Liz teaches by ear and her clear teaching style that is at a good pace for the whole group ‘
David. Community Choir member.

‘ Thank-you for helping me to find my voice by creating a fun and encouraging atmosphere where I could take the risk to sing after many years of calling myself a ‘non singer’ from my own school days. I am really enjoying sharing the warm ups and songs with the class of children I teach.’
Karen, Teacher.

‘Liz has a beautiful voice and is an inspirational trainer and choir leader. She is well loved in many of the Schools throughout the County and beyond.’
Philippa- Head teacher.
